I am raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support on a Charity Trek to the Lost City of the Incas in Peru. My minimum target is £3,000. Itinerary: Day 1 Fly to Lima;Day 2 Fly to Cusco to adjust to altitude;Day 3 Hike 5 hours to Sacsayhuaman;Day 4 Hike 6 hours to Mt.Veronica (5ooom);Day 5 Hike 8-12 hours climb from 2700m to 4200m to Pacamayo;Day 6 Hike 8-10 hours mostly up steps! (Great!!!!) to Winay Wayna;Day 7 Hike 3 hours to The Lost City Machu Picchu;Day 8 Free Day in Cusco;Day 9 Return to UK
I have received the application forms and have sent them off to Macmillan with the £275. registration fee. Hope to get the OK then I can start raising the minimum of £3,000. of which at least 65% goes to Macmillan with the balance being spent on the costs of the trip. That sounds like a hell of a lot of money! However the trip isn't til May 2007 so I have 12 months to raise this amount. Thats also 12 months to get fit!

In May 2007 I took part in a Charity Fund Raising Challenge to Peru and raised over £5,000. on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Support. I found the whole experience invigorating, challenging and very rewarding, so I have decided to sign up for a similar challenge, but this time in Nepal.
